How much can we hold?

I’ve been in deep lately—dreaming about how The Mamahood might mobilize and move mountains. Big ideas, national visions, taking risks, and reimagining how we connect and grow. It’s been exhilarating, overwhelming, and a little all-consuming. But in the cracks of my workaholic tendencies, I’ve found unexpected holiday joy—not in my own planning, but in witnessing the brilliance, creativity, and compassion of the moms in this community.

Julie Price has been beta-testing her custom meditation platform with Mamahood members, and it’s been incredible to hear how her creations are helping soothe anxious littles. Many of our moms have shared how their children are now falling asleep listening to meditations that whisper affirmations, fantastical stories, and even silly jokes—what a gift. Learn more about Julie’s meditations here - and grab a free one on us!

Angelique has been sprinkling holiday magic with her Tiny Values Holiday Funpack. This Gratitude Advent Calendar, Santa Letter printable, and Holiday Funbook make it easy to infuse the season with gratitude and joy. Download the free Funpack here.

And then there’s Candy Chan of Hoppity Learning, whose recent interview brought me to tears. Her deep care for helping parents build loving, supportive relationships with their kids is unmatched. She shared so much wisdom about active listening, joyful boundaries, and expressing love with empathy—it was truly moving. Her workshop, The Power of Love in Parenting, this past week was a huge success, and if you missed it, you can still experience her guidance firsthand with a free coaching call.

The “Two Shans,” meanwhile, have been lighting up the season with Elf on the Shelf kits and sharing genius ideas for elf mischief. (Themed kits with nightly text reminders? Absolute brilliance.) And our community has been buzzing with tips, tricks, and hilarious fails from years past. If you’re still on the fence about starting the tradition, we’ve got a blog post rounding up the best advice.

At home, life has been a mix of volleyball tryouts, tween hormones, and slumber party karaoke. Then, this week, my 12-year-old came home wide-eyed and confused to tell me a classmate had “done it.”

We've always had ample and open talks about sex and sexuality - but when I probed deeper into their classroom conversation, it was clear these kids weren’t ready, didn’t understand what they were talking about, and were navigating a world moving faster than they could process. I turned to the community to ask if this was happening in your schools too, and wow—the stories poured in. Kids as young as fifth grade are facing peer pressure, misinformation, and situations they’re simply not equipped for.

If you’re ready for a wake-up call (and to prepare for the conversations your kids might need), read this thread.

Once upon a time, a mom posted in The Mamahood: "This might be a long shot, but I just drove home and realized the main pillow from my favorite couch blew off the back of my truck. It’s probably lost somewhere along Highway 4. I haven’t had a chance to backtrack yet, but if anyone happens to see it, please let me know!" It sounded impossible - and it was starting to sprinkle. A couch pillow, somewhere along miles of highway? But just a few hours later, she got a response: "Girl, I got your...
